2 blasts in Dir music, computer centres

DIR: Two explosions rocked Dir at a computer and a music centre on Friday rocked Dir with an extremist organisation claiming responsibility for the blasts.

The explosions took place around 9:30pm when both centres were closed. However, a doctor passing by one of the centres was injured.

An organisation called Amr Bil Maroof Wa Nahi Anil Munkar claimed responsibility for the explosions, threatening to carry out more attacks if the growing “obscenity” in the area was not stopped. “If you do not stop spreading obscenity, more stern action will be taken against you,” a letter from the organisation pasted on the walls of the centres threatened. Doctor Sajjad received minor injuries as fragments of explosive material pierced his arm and hip. However, doctors operated upon him in a nearby hospital and said that he was out of danger. Police said they had started investigations. staff report
